This will include, but is not limited to, promoting use of captions, notetakings and basic sign language
Social and economic integration and leadership of hard of hearing and deafened people will be supported through need-based training which enhances self-employment and job placement.
Advocacy at national level will influence the policy gaps, census and other relevant information; and at local level (e.g., through discourse forums), it will promote understanding and opportunity, and reduce exclusion.
Grass root network will be created and supported by engaging in effective advocacy partnerships.
Resource center and rehabilitation unit will be established by developing experts, conducting research and sharing information, learning, know-how and good practices. Ultimately, SHRUTI will be developed as a Center of Excellence on Hard of Hearing and Deafened people.
